Braemar Gallery shares the Braemar centre with the local studies section of the Blue Mountains City Library. Situated in the Blue Mountains, Springwood was the first region officially named the 'City of the Arts'. There are many cultural groups actively involved in heritage, environment, visual and performing arts under the title 'Art of Living'. The main festival is 'Winter Magic'. The Gallery is also part of the Lower Blue Mountains Cultural Development Network, a sub-committee of the Blue Mountains Community Arts Council.
