Churchhill Island includes a historic working farm and sanctuary and is connected by bridge to Phillip Island, Victoria, a major ecotourism resort. It is the site of the first European landing, building and seed planting in Victoria (James Grant 1801). There is a historic buildings restoration project underway. Environmental attractions include a wildlife sanctuary, walking trails, protected bayviews, ancient Moonah trees. Nearby Phillip Island is the Koala conservation centre. Other attractions include penguin parade, seal viewing, grand prix circuit, cultural groups/galleries, surfing, swimming and aerodrome.
