25 Jul 2005
This space is suitable for exhibitions of: Visual Arts, Arts
The Clarence Valley has a mild winter climate and a hot, humid summer. The coastal areas of Yamba, Angourie, Minnie Water, Wooli and other beaches are popular with residents. Grafton is also well known as a cultural centre, particularly musically and has three high schools, a TAFE college, a music academy associated with the Southern Cross University and an Open Learning Access Centre. Economically, the Valley relies heavily on forestry, cattle, sugar cane, fishing, State Government offices, court house and prison, tourism and ancillary industries. The annual Jacaranda Festival each October is a notable event. There are many historic houses and majestic trees.
