CAN User Manual

The CAN User Manual provides assistance for Partner institutions to create their own CAN-hosted websites.

A primary aim of the new Collections Australia Network is to encourage small to medium-sized public collecting institutions (SMCs) to achieve a greater presence online, especially for their collections, exhibitions and events.

It also provides other useful tools, such as collection management software to help Partners digitise and manage their collections. CAN's online services are provided at no cost, to all Australian non-profit collecting institutions.

A key aim of this manual is to encourage more Australian collecting institutions to join CAN as Partners, and to help Partners get their organisation's information online, painlessly, even if you've never put anything on the web before. CAN also seeks to encourage cooperation between organisations within the Australian collecting sector.
