Trams of Ballarat

The stories told in The Trams of Ballarat are both a history of public transport in Ballarat and part of the public history of the city. The stories presented here are derived from the personal accounts of those who worked on the trams and they show how the trams of Ballarat were more than just public transport.

The Ballarat Tramway Museum is dedicated to conserving and restoring Ballarat's Trams and to interpreting a part Ballarat's history through their collection of Trams and related memorabilia. The Trams of Ballarat story has been developed by Alan Bradley and Warren Doubledayof the Ballarat Tramway Museum and produced by Australian Museums OnLine (AMOL).
