Bridgedale
Bridgedale is the oldest remaining building in Bridgetown, constructed as a farmhouse in 1862 by pioneer pastoralist and carrier, John Blechynden. This lovely old home is sited on the north bank of the Blackwood River in pleasant garden surrounds. Attractively furnished to reflect country life in the late nineteenth century, it stands today as a monument to the courage and vision of early settlers to the district.
