St Johns Union Church Running Stream

St John's Union Church is located in the village of Running Stream which is on the Castlereagh Highway in the Central West of New South Wales midway between Lithgow and Mudgee. The church was built in 1905-6 by the Running Stream community to replace the adjacent old weatherboard church which was built in 1886 . The new Church does not belong to any denomination and its administration and maintenance are the responsibility of the Trustees who have been appointed by the Community. The church is a substantial heritage building built of local sandstone and of a design which is quite common for small rural churches. It has served many of our forebears in Running Stream for 100 years. St John?s Union Church is regularly used for religious services.
