Cot quilt in Bow Tie variation (?) of pieced repeat blocks. The quilt is white homespun and a pink print with lambs. It is hand pieced and tied and has a pink backing. There is no padding. 1210 x 990 mm.

The cot quilt was made by Lenore Myrtle Howes (1913-1999) In Nebraska USA in 1942. It was then owned by her daughter and now her grand-daughter. It is not used.

Story of Quilt: |
"My grandmother probably made this cot quilt for her first child, my mother, born in Nebraska in 1942. War time shortages probably account for the lack of batting. I remember using it as a 'doll' quilt as a child." [Shari Jamieson]
