Story of Quilt: |
"Made 1967 from scraps of dress/pyjama fabrics, used as cover for bed. Made as necessity on farm. Single bed size. Originally backed with pieces of dress skirts of nylon. As this frayed it was cut off later. Some light furnishing scraps also used. Machine pieced on treadle 'Singer' sewing machine."
