Description:

Cotton patchwork quilt in double wedding ring pattern in pastel prints. Quilted in a design of geometric flowers. Padding is probably cotton wadding, backing is cream calico. 2270 x 1970 mm.

Quilt History:

Quilt made c.1927. " Rose and Arthur Hudson (my parents) were married and resided in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, USA - the Quaker Community made the quilt as a wedding present for them. The quilt was used later in UK. When I migrated to Australia, my parents gave it to me." [Arlene Crane] Currently on display at Azelia Ley Homestead Museum, Manning Park, Hamilton Hill, WA.
